As I get older (and hopefully wiser!) I’m getting healthier by going natural, one small change at a time. After repeated treatments, prescriptions, and doctor’s visits that didn’t help me feel better or resolve my medical issues, I began looking for something different, something better. I wanted something that actually got to the root of the problem instead of just treating my symptoms. I wanted permanent results, not just a temporary fix. I wanted to avoid nasty side-effects and reduce toxicity. I wanted a holistic solution.
Fortunately, my parents are health conscious people. My father is a big believer in alternative medicine and healing through dietary and other lifestyle changes. My parents raised me to be a healthy, active person, so I knew who to turn to with questions when my headaches, fatigue, migraines, and nausea were getting out of control. After a few suggestions from my father, I began researching potential treatments or lifestyle changes that just might benefit me.
Now I’m making small changes when I can handle them. I’m dedicated to living healthfully, mindfully, and happily while documenting my experiences and sharing my research with you! I have a long way to go but I’m feeling better already and so excited about living my life and feeling like I have some control over my health and body.
I’m learning heath is a lifestyle thing and can’t wait to take it on, one yoga pose and superfood at a time.
